It’s official – heels are making a comeback, and everywhere we look people are swapping their flats for something altogether fancier. From barely-there strappy ones to pointed toe mules, everywhere we look there’s a pair of kitten heels to be seen. And it seems Marks and Spencer definitely got the memo, because it just dropped the perfect designer alternative with its Leather Buckle Kitten Heel Slingbacks, £45 here.

The buckled slingbacks bear a striking resemblance to Miu Miu’s 55mm Buckle-Embellished Slingblack Pumps, £925 here, which have been one of the go-to kitten heels for the fashion set ever since we heard they were making a comeback. Just like Miu Miu’s pricey pair, M&S’ Leather Buckle Kitten Heel Slingbacks, £45 here, are made from real leather with a glossy, patent finish and have two buckled strap details that cross the arch of your foot.
They also have a buckled slingback-style heel, with a stiletto kitten heel that makes them comfortable enough to wear all day long, which is helped by M&S’ Insolia technology redistributes your weight away from the balls of your feet, making them even more comfortable to wear. They’re also versatile enough to be styled with everything from floor-length evening gowns to jeans and a jumper, making them an absolute staple in your wardrobe.

One shopper’s review did mention the buckles are non-adjustable, adding: “Bought in black patent. Wore with different outfits on a cruise. Versatile and comfortable. Look stylish with trousers and dresses. They have a great kitten heel and the shape elongates leg and foot. Good value, although they have creased a bit which is often the case with patent finish. Also, there is no adjustment buckle which means they may stretch and become too big.”
