Nail charms are spring’s top manicure trend – and we have plenty of inspiration for your next appointment

Move over ‘clean-girl’ nails and hello, maximalist nail charms. This fun and playful nail trend is set to be the next big thing and is guaranteed to up your manicure game.

Nail charms very much play into the late 90s and Y2K fashion resurgence we’ve been seeing a lot of over the past couple of years. Think bedazzled phone cases, phone charms and rhinestoned clothing … now imagine those on your nails. That’s exactly what the nail charm trend is. And the best part is you can put whatever you like on your nails. There’s been a lot of love for Hello Kitty nails this season, but equally, you can opt for more subtle charms like gems and bows.

Hello Kitty-themed nails are really having a moment right now. The sweet, girly nail art plays into the popular ‘coquette’ trend and you can customise your Hello Kitty designs with whatever extra nail charms you like. Whether it’s pink bows, flowers or hearts, this fun and cute design is perfect for switching up your spring mani. Kim Kardashian even rocked a Hello Kitty nail design on her trip to Tokyo last April with her daughter North.

To get the look at home, all you need is some strong adhesive nail glue and your selection of nail charms to stick on. We’ve found these Hello Kitty ones from Amazon for £8.99 here, and Elegant Touch’s extra strength clear nail glue for £3.50 here.
