Oppenheimer was the big winner at this year’s Oscars, winning seven awards including Best Picture, but Emma Stone’s broken dress and some very awkward jokes also had everyone talking
The 96th Academy Awards came to a close with the highly-anticipated Best Picture category as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer took home the prestigious award. Irish star Cillian Murphy also completed his sweep of awards season as he landed an Oscar for his role in the film.
Robert Downey Jr also picked up his first Oscar when he won best supporting actor for his role in the film as Lewis Strauss.
The star-studded bash also saw Emma Stone, who portrayed Bella Baxter in Poor Things, burst into tears as she took to the stage to receive an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel returned as Oscars host and used his opening monologue to skewer some of the famous faces in the audience, Barbie’s Oscar snubs and the running time of the nominated films.
