Ottawa firefighters had to look around a bit after a caller reported smoke coming from a house on Ken Steele Court in the Orléans West district shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
The caller neglected to provide an address.
Crew members arrived on the street within two minutes and “started searching,” Ottawa Fire Services said in a news release.
They spotted smoke coming from the second storey of a home.
The fire was knocked down quickly and neighbouring properties were not affected.
The structure was unoccupied.
A fire investigator was dispatched to determine the point of origin and cause of the fire.
