Missing a bike?
More than 40 bikes were recovered in an Ottawa police raid Thursday in Elmvale Acres and police have linked many of them to break-ins in the area.

Acting on a complaint, officers from the Ottawa Police Service neighbourhood resource team raided an property in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Boulevard and found bikes and other stolen goods.
While some of the bikes were believed to have been taken in burglaries in the Elmvale Acres, Riverview Park, Playfair Park and Hawthorne Meadows neighbourhoods, others have not been traced. Police are asking anyone in the area who’s had a bike swiped and not reported it to do so now.

They can file reports online on the Ottawa Police Service website or by calling the police reporting unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 7300. Cyclists are also encouraged to register their bike at 529Garage.com, which can make tracing lost or stolen bikes easier.
