Ontario Provincial Police said Friday they were searching for a dark-coloured sedan that was driven away from the scene where a pedestrian was struck in Laurentian Valley Township much earlier in the day.
The OPP’s Upper Ottawa Valley detachment said the collision occurred at about 1 a.m. on Lubitz Road.

A news release said the pedestrian was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle involved in the incident was last seen heading south on Lubitz Road towards Doran Road. Friday’s news release added that the vehicle would have front-end and windshield damage from the collision.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the case was asked to call the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment at 613-735-0188 or to contact Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.valleytips.ca.
Laurentian Valley Township is west of Pembroke and northwest of Ottawa.
