With another Christmas Day behind them, some Ottawans, rather than hitting the stores for Boxing Day blowout sales, instead decided to head outdoors in the mild December weather.

The temperature climbed all the way to 6 C on Tuesday, and the daily highs on thermometers are expected to stay above freezing until at least Friday. The forecast high for Wednesday is 4 C, followed by 5 on Thursday and 2 on Friday before cooling to a high of -4 Saturday.
