Sûreté du Québec officers and divers, along with assistance from area firefighters, continue their search for a man who fell from a boat in the Baskatong Reservoir on Saturday.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, near La Pointe à David in the manmade lake north of Maniwaki. Police said Sunday that the 20-year-old man, who was not wearing a life jacket, may have been ill and possibly fainted. There were about 10 other people on the boat at the time of the incident.
An SQ spokesperson said that a search by emergency responders began immediately following the incident and continued throughout the night. SQ divers joined the search Sunday morning.
