Police seeking information after man hospitalized in south end shooting

Ottawa police are appealing to the public for assistance after a 30-year-old Ottawa man was hospitalized after a shooting incident in the city’s south end Sunday night.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Fardon Way in the Hunt Club neighbourhood.

The male victim was found with a gunshot wound and rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also found shell casings nearby in the 1500 block of Blohm Drive.

The Guns and Gangs unit is investigating the incident, police said in a news release Monday morning. The victim was not identified.

Anyone with information, including CCTV footage (doorbell or home security) or any other video of the incident is asked to contact police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.

At approx. 11:30 pm last night, officers responded to the 1-100 block of Fardon Way.

A 30-year-old man was located with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
