RCMP arrests man in Gatineau on child pornography charges

A 54-year-old man has been charged with a number of charges related to the production and distribution of child pornography.

The RCMP National Child Exploitation Crime Centre said in a release that they executed a search warrant in Gatineau Thursday with assistance from Gatineau police.

The man was charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Police searched the residence and seized electronic material that will be further analyzed, the RCMP said.

The suspect appeared in court Thursday and was released with a umber of conditions.

“If you believe you may be the victim of a sexual offence, please report this to your local police, and if you have been a victim of online child sexual exploitation, please report this to your local police or to Cybertip.ca.
