When Does March Madness Start?
The First Four, the pre-tournament games that dictates which bubble teams get into the round of 64, starts on March 19. The actual first round of March Madness games will then be played on March 21-22. The second round will run March 23-24, followed by the Sweet 16 on March 28-29, followed by the Elite Eight on March 30-31. Teams will break for about a week before the Final Four begins on April 6. The NCAA Championship game will then happen on April 8.
