A 30-year-old resident of Alfred-Plantagenet has been charged with second-degree murder following the discovery of a body in an apartment on County Road 17.
Mathew Brisebois was to have made an initial appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Monday.

The Ontario Provincial Police previously reported that officers from the Hawkesbury detachment and Prescott-Russell paramedics had found Timothy Provost, 32, dead in the apartment on the evening of Feb. 22.

A post-mortem examination confirmed that the victim had been stabbed to death, an OPP news release said this week, adding that an arrest was made on Sunday.
The investigation was continuing, police added.
