Simon Cowell lost a whopping four stone in just four years, for the sake of his young son.
The now-64 year old Britain’s Got Talent judge decided to make some changes to his lifestyle so he could keep up with his energetic son, Eric, who turned 10 in February.
In a chat with Ellen DeGeneres back in 2019, Simon revealed that his doctor had given him a serious wake-up call, telling him he had “the worst diet” they’d ever seen. This spurred him on to quit one of his unhealthy habits whether it was smoking, drinking alcohol or eating badly.

The TV star, who’s engaged to Lauren Silverman, noticed a big difference after ditching dairy, sugar, gluten and red meat from his meals. He was chuffed that he could still enjoy a beer as part of his new routine.
In a recent interview with The Sun, Simon shared that he now eats “loads” of veggies and has been cooking more at home. He said: “If you’re on a diet you have to keep the food sensible, but it’s got to be interesting and tasty, then the diet’s surprisingly easy.”

Alongside his new eating plan, Simon also kept fit with cycling, walking and weight lifting. But he admitted that the hardest part is watching Eric tuck into a pizza, which is the food he misses the most.
Yet Simon sparked concern among fans when he appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway last month.
Viewers were worried about his “different” look when he appeared on the live gameshow dressed in his trademark black T-shirt and jeans.
When Simon arrived in the studio to watch a clip of himself being pranked by the Geordie duo, one person on X commented: “Simon Cowell is so different now! #saturdaynighttakeaway”, while another added: “Anyone else watching #SaturdayNightTakeaway? What has happened to Simon Cowell’s face……. ??”

The TV personality and judge appeared on the opening episode of the series as part of the show’s Undercover segment, which sees Ant and Dec play tricks on fellow celebs.
First, they revealed they’d enlisted pretend police officers to stop Simon when he was cycling in Malibu and issue a number of “completely made up violations”. They later pulled a second prank that saw him locked in a box during a contestant’s act on a live episode of America’s Got Talent.
Taking it all in his stride, the keen cyclist, who required major surgery after breaking his back in a cycling accident in 2020, laughed along and said he totally “fell for it”. He also laughed along as the pair reminisced about the first time they pranked him by pretending to be auditioning for one of his reality shows.
