It can be tricky for new mums to find clothes that are not only comfortable and chic but are still wearable during the daily challenges of having a newborn baby. However Stacey Solomon has got a parenting hack to share when it comes to fashion, as she reveals how she managed to accommodate breastfeeding with her comfy and cosy co-ord.
In an Instagram post, Stacey shared a snap of herself wearing the Brown Knitted Chevron Co-ord Shorts and the matching Brown Knitted Chevron Flare Sleeve Co-ord Jumper from her In The Style collection. Replying to a comment which asked: “Is any of it breastfeeding friendly?” Stacey wrote: “Not specifically designed breastfeeding outfits, but lots of co-ords that I used to wear ALL the time when feeding mine!”

The cosy co-ord is currently reduced on the In The Style website as Stacey prepares to launch her latest collection with the retailer, with the short slashed from £16 to £8, whilst the jumper is now £12 down from £24.

Stacey’s co-ord is the perfect wardrobe staple to see you through the summer, with its relaxed, loose fit making it super comfortable to wear. The jumper has a loose-fitting, boxy style that makes breastfeeding access a dream, and is baggy enough to be able to drape it over your chest and cover up if you feel a little too exposed.
The shorts have an elasticated waistband that’s perfect for the ever-changing postpartum body, and can grow and shrink as your body adjusts to life after pregnancy. Although it’s relaxed enough to be worn for lounging around the house in, you can also easily wear it out and about.
Its brown-toned chevron stripes and crochet material are perfect for nailing the summer trends. You can easily dress it up with a pair of trainers and a denim jacket for running errands or a pair of platform sandals and a tote bag for heading out to lunch or on a day trip out. You can also snap up the co-ord in petite, tall and regular lengths, as well as an inclusive size range from 6-8 up to 26-28.
If you prefer a little more coverage, River Island’s Cream Crochet Stripe Wide Leg Trousers, £35, and matching Cream Crochet Stripe Roll Sleeve T-Shirt, £30, are still light, breezy and comfy to wear, with the trousers making a great alternative to shorts for those slightly cooler days. Just like Stacey’s matching set, the River Island co-ord is made from a soft, stretchy crochet material.
The trousers also have an elasticated waistband with a drawstring fastening for added comfort and a better fit, whilst the T-shirt has a slouchy, oversized fit which makes it still perfect for breastfeeding. We can always count on Stacey to have a solution to everything!
