By Srimoyee Chowdhury: The videos that showcase people going that extra mile to take care of stray furbabies are always special. Those Good Samaritans make sure that the precious beings don’t go through terrible hardships when they are in their most vulnerable state.
A video of a group of people showing an extremely sweet gesture to a street dog named Bella perfectly fits in the aforementioned genre. Shared on Instagram by Bharath Chandran, the video shows the group throwing a baby shower for the pregnant stray.
They were seen showering Bella with marigold flower petals and putting a small garland on her neck as well.
“In a world full of hatred, disgust and disdain for street dogs, here we are celebrating our kid Bella’s Valaikaapu/baby shower! Hoping she will have a safe delivery and we will have healthy and perky little asses to play with,” read the caption.
“Puppies will be vaccinated and given for adoption. Pre-booking is open,” it added.

The video has garnered over 268k views and tons of reactions. While some commented on how sweet the gesture was, a large section of the internet was concerned about the dog’s well-being. People unanimously suggested that Bella should be sterilized to prevent giving birth repeatedly. They pointed out how it would also save her from several diseases.
