Here’s some exciting alternatives to the quintessential Tiffany Blue dial finish, from the world’s top watch brands
Two years ago, Patek Philippe launched the Tiffany Blue Patek Philippe 5711 to celebrate its 170 years partnership with American luxury retailer, Tiffany & Company. The much talked about watch set off a furore around the world, because fans of Patek Nautilus 5711 — who were anguished by the brand’s sudden decision to discontinue the hugely popular watch the previous year — were presented with one last chance to buy a piece, albeit in a limited edition of just 170 pieces.

Priced at $52,000, the whole lot sold out in minutes. One last piece which the company auctioned for its charity, sold for $6.5 million. The watch also seems done something that neither Patek Philippe nor Tiffany would have expected: a new public fascination for the Tiffany blue dial. Variously termed as turquoise blue, maritime blue and sky blue by other brands, the colour is part of the collection of many watch marques. While it would be difficult to lay your hands on a Tiffany Patek, here are some others you can buy across various price ranges:
