A quick-thinking neighbour entered the water, located the trapped driver and attempted to cut the seatbelt, the OPP said.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the truck’s cab was partially submerged. Officers jumped into the water to assist the truck driver and the neighbour.
The driver and police officers were taken to hospital, Roberge said. There were no reports of serious injuries.
