Uncover free student membership with ANTA
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) is Australia’s largest democratic association of natural therapy practitioners. We discover the many benefits of their free student membership.

Since 1955 the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) continues to be a historic, trusted association of highly-skilled practitioners, qualified in traditional and natural therapies.

Free Student Membership with ANTA

ANTA Student members get access to world-class scientific resources, and the chance to win thousands of dollars in bursary awards… all for free! If you study at an ANTA-recognised college in the following modalities, you can join:

Acupuncture
Aromatherapy
Ayurvedic Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Homeopathy
Myotherapy
Naturopathy
Clinical nutrition
Oriental Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage Therapy
Shiatsu
Western Herbal Medicine

Membership Benefits

As someone studying an ANTA-recognised natural therapy, becoming an ANTA student member has a number of invaluable benefits that can help your future career, including the following:

IMgateway and eMIMS access

As a student member, you will have free access to outstanding complementary medicine resources, which will provide you with invaluable research material for your studies, including IMgateway and eMIMS. IMgateway is a collection of over 700 evidence-based journals and 6000 scientific monographs, written by thousands of practitioners covering a range of condition, herbs, supplements and drugs. eMIMS is a database that contains information on natural therapies, products, contraindications with products and clinical resource indexes.

Chance to win a Student Bursary Award

At ANTA, we believe that money shouldn’t be a roadblock for students who want to pursue fruitful careers in natural therapy. So every year, we award $12,000 in bursary awards to our student members, to help them maximise their training opportunities and achieve their career goals. Students who receive an award will also receive 12 months’ complimentary practitioner membership upon completion of their course. To enter, firstly join as a student member, then submit a highly marked assignment for your best chance of winning. Entries close 31 July and winners are announced in October each year.

Automatic Entry into ANTA’s Graduate Awards

Here, we understand that the future of natural therapy depends on graduates, with every new wave refreshing and revitalising our industry. With that, we wanted a way to recognise the exceptional achievements of new graduates and provide them with a financial contribution, so we created the Graduate Awards. All new graduates that apply to ANTA are automatically entered into the running to win a Graduate Award. To select award winners, our panel of experts assess the academic transcript of each candidate, including units completed, consistency of work, clinical practicum and overall achievement. We select 24 winners (12 in the first half of the year and 12 in the second), who receive 12 months complimentary ANTA membership plus $200.

Continuing Professional Education resources

Did you know that once you graduate, you need to complete 20 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) points each year? As a member, we provide a multitude of free resources including:

Free subscription to The Natural Therapist Journal and eNews updates

The Natural Therapist is ANTA’s official half yearly journal, packed with natural therapy articles from a range of modalities. The articles are written by industry experts aiming to educate our members on the latest research in their field, helping to improve the quality of care and enhancing natural therapies as a whole.

Members receive information updated by eNews, media releases, latest Government news, CPE reminders, reports and health fund information.

Free ANTA National Seminars – held in major capital cities

ANTA hosts free seminars in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne each year, allowing members access to outstanding live presentations from leaders within the natural therapies industry. These presentations are also recorded and placed in the ANTA Member Centre for all to view if you cannot make the live event.

ANTA Student Membership is a great introduction to the support and offerings ANTA as an association can provide students and full members, once you have completed your course. When you have finished your studies and are looking to upgrade, ANTA offers new graduates a discounted membership fee and automatically provides 20 CPE points for that calendar year.

ANTA staff are well versed in answering your questions and can provide assistance either via email or phone. Please contact ANTA on [email protected] or 1800 817 577 for any questions or more information. We look forward to welcoming you as an ANTA Member.
