FANS OF THE Western crime drama Yellowstone will have to wait until November for new episodes to air, and when that moment comes it will be bittersweet, as showrunner Taylor Sheridan has confirmed that the series will end with Season 5. However, that isn’t to say that we won’t be seeing the Dutton family ever again: the Kevin Costner-led show has spawned multiple prequels and spinoffs following various generations of Duttons.
While the now-resolved WAG and SAG-AFTRA strike action of 2023 led to production delays on Yellowstone Season 5, it also had the unanticipated result of bringing even more viewers to the show. CBS decided to fill gaps in its programming schedule by airing the hugely popular show—which began as a streaming series on Paramount+—from the very beginning, albeit with some of the more colorful language muted.
Season 1 of Yellowstone started airing on CBS on Sunday nights in September 2023, and the network has since broadcast Season 2 and Season 3. The Season 3 finale, “The World Is Purple,” aired on Sunday, January 29. There was then a break, with Sunday nights on CBS being occupied by big-hitting live broadcasts of the Grammys and the Super Bowl.

When will Season 4 of Yellowstone begin on CBS?
As of today, the new CBS Sunday night lineup includes premieres of The Equalizer, CSI: Miami, and Tracker. There is no word on whether or not Yellowstone will continue its chronological airing on the channel.
If you can’t wait to see how that Season 3 cliffhanger gets resolved, you can watch Season 4 of Yellowstone right now on Paramount+ and Peacock.
