An unidentified youth received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries in a stabbing at a business in Rockland, Ontario Provincial Police reported.
A media release said officers from the Russell County detachment located the injured youth at about 11:45 a.m. on Friday, and that individual was transported to hospital by the Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services.

Another youth was arrested. Their identity cannot be released under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, police said.
The police statement said local school were placed into a “secure and hold” mode temporarily, but that status ended later.
There were no continuing public safety concerns, police added.
