4 people travelling on motorcycles killed in Westmoreland crash

Two motorcyclists and their two pillions died as a result of injuries sustained during a motor vehicular accident in Culloden, Westmoreland on Sunday afternoon. 

The identity of the deceased are not yet ascertained.

Reports are that about 5:55pm two motorcycles were travelling behind a Toyota Yaris motorcar along the Culloden main road towards White House.

Upon reaching a section of the Culloden main road stated both motorcyclists reportedly attempted to overtake a Toyota Yaris motorcar and collided head on into a Toyota Hiace motor truck, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

All four occupants of the motorcycles sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead upon arrival.

 The Westmoreland police are investigating.
