4 weather systems to affect PH this weekend – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines: Four weather systems will prevail in the country over the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Saturday.

Visayas, northern and eastern Mindanao may experience isolated rains and thunderstorms due to the shearline, or the point where the hot and cold wind meets, and due to the low pressure area (LPA) being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

In its 5 am bulletin, Pagasa said the LPA was seen some 605 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

“While it still has the low chance to develop into a tropical storm for now, it may still affect most parts of the country and may bring isolated rains,” Pagasa weather specialist James Villamil said.
