A 6-month-old baby is missing after a passenger boat bound for Basilan sank in Zamboanga City.
According to a 24 Oras weekend report by Dano Tingcungco on Sunday, the other 43 people on the vessel were rescued, but the child’s mother lost hold of her baby. Search operations are still being conducted.
According to the authorities, overloading may have caused the vessel to sink.
