In the ever-evolving landscape of
Indian cinema
, the film
Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana
(
BBN
) heralds a groundbreaking blend of traditional mythology and cutting-edge technology with its introduction of
AI-generated content
and exploration of the concept of
Disti Bomma
. Producers
Shashidhar Kasi
and
Snehal Jangala
, leveraging their extensive experience in the IT sector, delve into this traditionally rich yet obscure concept through their cinematic venture.
“A standout feature of the film is the ‘
Shiva Trap Trance
,’ India’s first AI-generated video song, which represents the innovative use of technology in storytelling. Composed by Sricharan Pakala and penned by Chaitanya Prasad, the song combines Discord, Mid journey, and Chat GPT modes, marking a technological milestone in Indian cinema,” states Shashidhar Kasi.

Elaborating on the concept of Disti Bomma, Kasi adds, “Snehal, my co-brother and a seasoned producer with two films to his credit, was reviewing a new script. I found myself engrossed in the narration during a visit to his place. The concept of ‘Disti Bomma’, a ubiquitous item in homes and on trucks, intrigued me. Discovering its mythological origins and its purpose beyond mere decoration was captivating. This unexplored cinematic angle seemed truly remarkable.”
The film is set against the backdrop of diverse locales, including the Vikarabad forest, Aluminium factory, Ramoji Film City, Chincholi—a remote forest village on the border of Telangana and Karnataka—and a significant set constructed in Moinabad for the climax, which alone cost 30 lakhs. The narrative follows a detective unravelling the mystery behind 16 headless murders, dubbed the ‘Dishtibomma murders’, as revealed by Shashidhar Kasi.
“The journey, as newcomers to the industry, presented its challenges, but we faced them with the right spirit and are now reaping the rewards. The script is the true hero of our film. We plan to screen the film in major Indian cities and the US, with an OTT release already secured,” remarks Shashidhar Kasi.
Produced under the banners of Vijaya Saraaga Productions and Million Dreams Creation, the film, directed by Purushotham Raaj, stars
Shiva Kandukuri
and
Raashi Singh
in the lead roles is releasing on March 1.
