American woman killed in St Andrew, allegedly by son

An American woman is now dead, and a man, said to be her son, is in police custody.

She is 54-year-old Marvel Johnson.

Reports are that Johnson was stabbed several times, allegedly by her son, at premises on Wavell Avenue in Kingston 11 about 7:20am on Monday.

The police were alerted and she was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
