Princess Kate is the centre of attention in the United States, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry falling out of the public consciousness amid speculation over the health of the Princess of Wales, according to showbiz commentator Asia Grace.
Speaking to GBN America’s Nana Akua, Ms Grace said the American public were fascinated by Kate’s absence from the limelight, following her abdominal surgery.
Keen observers across the pond were staggered when news emerged that an image released of Kate and her three children had been edited.
She said: “Right now, a lot of the attention is on Princess Kate. So much is going on with her and the household right now.
“Harry and Meghan recently did some sightseeing and some person to person mights with the people of Texas.
“As you all may know, we had a school shooting there several years ago and it’s left a massive impact. Right now, they’re doing what you kind of expect upper levels to do.”
In a statement following the news about her doctored image, Kate publicly took the blame, saying she had edited the photo.
Prior to her statement, respected picture agencies had withdrawn the photo, over concerns it had been manipulated.
Kate’s apology read: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.
“I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.
“I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”
According to royal sources, the 42-year-old made “minor adjustments” to the photo.
The source went on: “The Wales family spent Mother’s Day together and had a wonderful day.”
Meanwhile, a report in the Sunday Times claims that the future Queen is mulling over sharing another image in the coming months.
Her youngest son, Prince Louis, is having his birthday in April and a royal insider believes she may share a picture to mark the occasion.
The source said: “They appreciate the public’s love and affection for their children and know there is a public appetite to see them on their birthdays.”
It has been reported that a source close to the Prince and Princess of Wales has said no “firm decision” has been made over whether Kate herself would take the picture or whether a professional photographer would be hired.
