The Court of Appeal’s Abuja division has upheld the election of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
The court denied the appeal filed by Sai’du Umar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, for failing to adequately substantiate his claims against Aliyu in the CA/S/EP/GOV/SK/30/2023 action.
The PDP candidate had lost out at the tribunal on September 30, when a three-man panel resolved all the six grounds of the petition against him.
