A committee has been established to examine the safety framework for local automated banking machines [ABMs].
Audrey Tugwell Henry, says This is part of the collaborative steps being taken by local banks to improve safety, Audrey Tugwell Henry, President of the Jamaica Bankers Association, explained.
Mrs. Tugwell Henry, who is also CEO of Scotia Group Jamaica, says specific to her bank, there’s no plan to reduce the number of available ABMs.
The last Payment System Bulletin published by the Bank of Jamaica in June, showed that the country has 816 ABMs installed.
This was more than the 807 installed as at June 2022.
