Curtis Bowers, a filmmaker and former politician to discuss what he describes as the Marxist/Communist attack on America

A church in Washougal that has been inviting the public to special speaking events focusing on a biblical approach to real-life issues is hosting an award-winning conservative filmmaker next week.

Bethel Community Church in Washougal will have filmmaker and politician Curtis Bowers at an event open to the public at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26.

His discussion is called: The Marxist/Communist Attack on America.

Earlier this year, Bethel Community Church hosted, via video conference, two doctors who fought against vaccine mandates and other emergency actions the government took against the people during the pandemic. Soon after that event, the video of that conference was taken down by a major social media platform.

“I want our people to be informed,” Rich Blum, the senior pastor of Bethel Community Church, said at the time.

“My primary purpose is always Jesus Christ. It’s always going to be the gospel of Jesus Christ. But it is true that I also want us to be involved in things that are happening in the culture.”

That is why Bethel Community Church continues to invite conservative speakers to midweek events.

Bowers won $101,000 for “Best of Festival” at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival for his film project: AGENDA: Grinding America Down.

According to Family Conferences, Bowers and his team have followed up with more documentaries, exposing the left’s war against God and the intentional promotion of Socialist ideology in education, media, and churches.

Prior to his film work, Bowers was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives.

Bethel Community Church is located at 1438 B Street in Washougal.
