Big Brother made its highly-anticipated return to the small screen last month, having last broadcast on Channel 5 in 2018.

Last night viewers watched as Jordan had a landslide victory with votes, and won ITV’s first ever Big Brother.

Now, viewers at home have the chance to be the next winner, as applications for housemates are open.

On the Big Brother website, it says potential new housemates can apply right now.

The advert also stated that the next series of Big Brother will be even longer.

The series that has just ended was six weeks long, but following the success of the rebooted show, it has been extended to eight weeks.

Meanwhile, fans were equally thrilled to find out that Celebrity Big Brother will be back on the box.

The spin-off show will see a new round of famous faces taking up residence in the iconic house, with casting already underway.

The stars will take part in weekly nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.

Celebrity Big Brother will be followed each night by Late & Live – giving viewers an additional hour of exclusive content on ITV2.

While AJ Odudu and Will Best are fronting the reboot, it hasn’t been revealed whether they will present the celeb series too.

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller, ITV2 and ITVBe said: “The reception from our viewers to Big Brother’s return has been fantastic.

“We’re therefore thrilled to announce that we’ll be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year.

“Casting is underway to find a new batch of famous faces who are sure to provide more iconic and unmissable BB moments.”

Natalka Znak, CEO of Initial, Remarkable Entertainment and Znak TV added: “The launch series on ITV2 has been so much fun to make and we’re glad Big Brother has found a whole new audience on ITV2.

“It’s been a joy working with ITV and we’re excited to do it all over again and this time with celebrities and on ITV1.”

The exciting news was revealed by TV industry magazine Broadcast last month.

Celebs who have appeared on the show over the years include Katie Price, Rylan Clark, Lee Ryan, Calum Best, LaToya Jackson, Vinnie Jones and Michelle Heaton.

The last series was won by Ryan Thomas, after finding himself at the centre of a ‘punch’ row with Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett.

Ryan was branded a “woman beater” after the the pair appeared to play fight, before being given a formal warning in the diary room.
