Nigerian singer, BNXN has expressed his disappointment after discovering missed direct message (DM) requests from American artists, 21 Savage and The Chainsmokers.
The singer shared snapshots of the missed messages on his Snapchat page on Sunday, April 14, 2024, revealing the unexpected requests for collaboration.
One of the snapshots, dated 2022, showed a message from The Chainsmokers praising Bnxn’s musical style and expressing interest in working together. The chat read, “Yo my guy! Huge fans here! We want to send you some tunes maybe see if we can get a big one together! Happy to email or text or have our manager hit yours.”
In addition, 21 Savage also reached out to Bnxn with a DM request, which went unnoticed by the Nigerian singer until recently. Reflecting on the missed opportunities, Bnxn expressed his regret and vowed to pay more attention to his Instagram DM requests in the future.
“I need to check my messages more smh. Like SMH. Wetin I dey do??” he captioned the snapshots, lamenting the time he lost without realizing the potential collaborations.
Fans and fellow artists have since encouraged Bnxn to stay vigilant and seize future opportunities for international partnerships.
