BREAKING NEWS: Israeli commandos rescue two hostages in dramatic operation in Rafah

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Israelis are waking up to exciting news this morning.

Overnight, Israeli special forces commandos conducted a dangerous and dramatic operation in Rafah, the southernmost city in the Gaza Strip.

By God’s grace, two Israeli hostages — Fernando Simon Marman, 60, and Norberto Louis Har, 70, were rescued from the clutches of Hamas terrorists and safely returned to Israel.

“They are both in good medical condition and were transferred for further medical examination in Israel,” an Israeli Defense Forces spokesman reported.

“Finally good news,” wrote Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana on social media around 6am Tuesday morning local time.

“Thanks and appreciation from the bottom of my heart to our forces from the IDF, the Shin Bet and the IDF for an impressive, brave and complex rescue operation. You have lost hope in an entire country.”

Ohana added, “We won’t rest until we get them all back.”

This is a developing story — stay tuned to ALL ISRAEL NEWS for updates.

“The operation had been considered several times recently, but called off, until the operation was finally approved on Monday morning,” reported the Jerusalem Post.

“The hostages had been held on the second floor of a building heavily guarded as well as by additional guards in the next door building.”

“Israeli forces entered the compound clandestinely and used explosives, heavy fire and highly intimate intelligence about the exact placement of the hostages versus their guards to rescue Herman and Norbeto without Hamas being able to kill them first,” the Post reported.
