American pop star Bruno Mars drew huge crowds with two concerts in Seoul on Saturday and Sunday.
He attracted some 101,000 fans over the weekend, the biggest total audience ever for a foreign act, beating British rock band Coldplay, who drew around 100,000 in 2017.
The concerts were Mars’ first here in nine years, since his first visit in 2014. About 1.16 million people flocked to a website to book tickets, which cost up to W250,000 and sold out within an hour of going on sale (US$1=W1,272).
Some 200 people waited all night in front of the concert hall on Sunday, hoping for last-minute cancellations.
Fans expressed satisfaction with the show, saying Mars has become much more mature and skillful over the last nine years.
