Amid economic turmoil, unemployment and growing frustration at perceived corruption and mismanagement by South Africa’s ruling African National Congress, some in South Africa’s Western Cape province have launched a campaign for independence as the country gears up for elections. But their chances of making an impact at the polls and achieving a “CapeXit” appear slim.
