A journey to Scotland to join Saint Johnstone Football Club was unsuccessful for Cavalier’s Shaniel Thomas and Richard King.
However, the two hope that their overseas playing opportunities will continue.
Coach of Cavalier Rudolph Speid said that despite the failed effort, he is still proud of his players.
“January is a difficult window to get the guys into clubs because the coaches are more interested in preparing their team for competitions, so I think that worked against them,” Speid said.
“The window is closed now, so the only other opportunity is in the Americas, so we will see what happens.”
Speid said Thomas picked up an injury which affected his trial, but King got a chance to show off his skills.
“He (Thomas) got injured after going, so he did not get to train,” he said.
“They did very well, and we thought he (King) was going to go, but it didn’t work out,” he said.
