Charleen Vareena Kavleski Celebrated for Dedication to the Fine Arts

SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY, May 13, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Charleen Kavleski has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Driven to pursue a career in the arts, Ms. Kavleski earned an Associate of Arts from Orange County Community College in 1963 and an Associate of Arts and Science from the same institution one year later. She also completed coursework at Indiana University’s Herron School of Art and Design. Subsequently, she received a Bachelor of Science from SUNY New Paltz and joined Monticello Central School District as an art teacher. Over the years, Ms. Kavleski expanded her professional knowledge by completing fine arts coursework at SUNY New Paltz.

Throughout her career, Ms. Kavleski has honed her educational and artistic expertise as the art adviser and editor for the Literary and Art Magazine at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School and as an antiques and art dealer for Brockmann’s Antique Center. Backed by decades of professional experience, she continues today as an Albatross antiques and art dealer in South Fallsburg, New York. To remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Ms. Kavleski aligns herself with the Amos Eno Gallery, through which she exhibits much of her work, the National Association of Women Artists, the New York State Art Teachers Association, and the New York Retired Teachers Association.

A lifelong artist, Ms. Kavleski has exhibited her work in annual exhibitions, group shows, solo exhibitions, and more through the National Association of Women Artists, Albany Center Galleries, the Catskill Arts Society, Amos Eno Gallery, Beck Gallery, the Sullivan County Museum & Cultural Center, the Schenectady Museum Association, the Three Rivers Act Festival, and The Haggin Museum. Due to her artistic achievements, Ms. Kavleski has also been commissioned by Christopher Coleman Interior Design to create an installation of painted constructions, featured in the Times Herald Record and the Sullivan County Democrat, and earned several awards, including the Eve Helman Memorial Award for Works on Paper through the National Association of Women Artists and the Miriam E. Halpern Memorial Award. She has also been honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award for her professional accomplishments, and the inclusion in thenationaldigest.com

While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Kavleski takes the most pride in being personally commissioned by Dr. Gustav Gavis and Dr. Goddard Lainjo, prestigious museum curators and gallery owners. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her childhood exposure to quilt making and stone mason work and later to the fine arts. Looking toward the future, Ms. Kavleski intends to experience continued growth and success in her career.
