Charred remains of man found after Clarendon house fire

The charred remains of a man were discovered in the aftermath of a house fire in Capture Land, Lionel Town in Clarendon on Saturday.

The body is suspected to be that of 33-year-old Kenroy Simpson of Dick Drive in Lionel Town.

Reports are that about 3:50am, the police and the fire department responded to reports of a house fire in the community. During the cooling down operations, the body was found near the front door of the house.

It was removed to the morgue for post mortem and forensic testing to confirm the identity.

The police said they are still investigation.
