Their statement detailed the emergency response: “On December 20, at 05:00, a police mobile arrived at Arenas de José Ignacio, where they requested support from emergency services. Upon arrival, they found Ezequiel Ivan Lavezzi injured and being attended to. Dr. Agustini diagnosed a fractured shoulder blade and transferred him to Sanatorio Cantegril. The exact circumstances of how the injury occurred are unknown at this moment; he was at a party.”
Ezequiel Lavezzi, now 38, retired from professional football in 2019, concluding his career with Hebei China Fortune.
The former Argentina international is renowned for his spells at Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain, and he began his football journey in his home country with Estudiantes and San Lorenzo.
