Cops guilty of assault following incident in Kingston

Two police constables were found guilty for the offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident involving a male in Kingston.

 The verdict was handed down in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

Constables Chambers and Lake will return to Court for sentencing on January 15, 2024.

Constables Chambers and Lake were charged in relation to the assault of a man in the vicinity of Regent Street, Kingston 14, on October 13, 2019.

The police officers were placed before the court, by summons, on February 9, 2021, following INDECOM’s investigation and a ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
