Max Turner (Paddy Bever) makes a discovery in Coronation Street next week that leaves him jumping to the wrong conclusion about who is to blame for Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) murder.
The troubled teen was best mates with Lauren, who vanished without a trace a number of weeks ago, and therefore he’s keen to try and find out what exactly it is that’s happened to her.
Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is currently in the frame for the crime after Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) recklessly informed authorities of his suspicions about the cafe owner, but everyone knows that poor Roy would never be capable of harming anyone.
A number of the ITV soap’s residents are keen to investigate in a bid to find our what really happened to missing Lauren and, next week, Max puts two and two together after witnessing a secret meeting.
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who Max regularly clashes with, is put in the frame once again in upcoming scenes after a guilty Bobby changes his statement in a bid to exonerate Roy, who is refused bail.
The newcomer states that he saw a dodgy looking character hanging around Lauren’s flat at the time of her vanishing, giving a detailed description of the alleged perpetrator’s coat, commenting that it had a fur-trimmed hood.

When word of Bobby’s statement spreads, Daniel finds himself facing questions, with Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) recalling how a similar coat was handed in recently to the charity shop.
DS Swain (Vicky Myers) questions the teacher, who manages to ensure his freedom, with subsequent scenes seeing him discussing Lauren’s disappearance with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), who mentions an article she read which stated that Lauren was a sex worker.
This revelation leaves Daniel with food for thought as he meets up with ex Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) – but little does he know that Max is watching his every move!
Recognising Nicky as his former teacher, the lad tells Bobby that she was a sex worker and, believing this is proof that Daniel had something to do with Lauren’s vanishing, he starts to take pictures.
Will Max ensure that Daniel is put behind bars? What’s more, will this help Roy evade more jail time? And will we finally get answers about what happened to missing Lauren?
One to watch: Friday April 19 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
