Hopefully, she wasn’t seeing “not real” things while in the cockpit.
The “crazy plane lady” who made headlines for melting down about a “not real” passenger last year is blowing up yet again for flying a plane, as seen in an X video with 1.6 million views.
“Went from freaking out on a plane to flying one,” quipped the self-effacing Gomas in the caption to the clip, which was filmed while she was returning to the US from Jamaica.
The stunt comes nearly a year after the Texan was filmed ranting about an alleged invisible passenger aboard an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Chicago, making her an internet sensation and sparking a million memes.
“People, chill. We were in cruise above 10,000 so a ‘non-critical phase of flight,’” Gomas wrote on X. Tiffany_Gomas/X
In the unreal footage, the real estate developer can be seen helming the co-pilot’s chair of an unidentified aircraft as the off-screen pilot exclaimed, “We’re climbing.”
At one point Gomas asked the pilot if he wanted the controls back, but the flyboy declined, letting her take the wheel for a while longer. In other words, they didn’t put her on the “no-fly” list following her viral tirade.
Naturally, it might seem irresponsible to let a civilian pilot an aircraft, Gomas clarified that it was not a commercial flight.
“People, chill. We were in cruise above 10,000 so a ‘non-critical phase of flight,’” she declared in a follow-up X post. “The only people on the flight were my family.”
She explained in another post that she was only helming the controls for a “few minutes.”

Nonetheless, the irony of the so-called “crazy plane lady” flying an airplane wasn’t lost on X viewers.
“That plane is not real,” joked one commenter.

Another wrote, “This was not on my 2024 bingo card.”
Even a pilot weighed in on Gomas’ flying stint, writing: “Good job! As an airline captain, I can say conclusively: That plane is real.”
One commenter even praised the influencer for making the most out of her mile-high meltdown.
“You’ve come a long way,” they wrote. “You’ll never know how much joy I got out of the freak out video and all the memes that followed. In all seriousness, I’m glad you could own it, laugh about it and move on.”
Indeed, the Lone Star resident has seemingly gotten a lot of mileage out of her inflight tantrum.
In her latest attempt to cash in on the fiasco, Gomas refashioned herself as a right-wing influencer by posing in a bikini while holding a can of “Ultra Right Beer.”
She then weighed in on the issue of biological men competing in sports that don’t align with their birth sex, writing: “Wonder how many people I’m gonna piss off with this post. So… is now an appropriate time to tell y’all men don’t belong in women’s sports?!”
