JOHANNESBURG – The majority party after the general election, the African National Congress is under pressure to form a government.
According to the constitution, the first sitting of parliament to elect the president, the speaker, deputy speaker and other members must be held within 14 days after the results are declared.
The ANC has indicated it’s intention to form a government of national unity.

Now, the biggest hurdle is the ongoing negotiations with other parties.
