Barron Trump, the 18-year-old son of former President Donald Trump, is taking a step into politics with a role at July’s Republican National Convention.
He will represent Florida as a delegate at the Republican National Convention in July. This is a big deal because the convention is where the Republican party will officially choose its nominee for president – and that is likely to be his father, Donald Trump.
Barron is the former president’s youngest son.
The Trump family is getting increasingly involved in Republican politics. Barron’s relatives are also taking on important roles. His sister-in-law, Lara Trump, was named co-chair of the Republican National Committee in March.
His brothers, Eric and Donald Jr., are actively supporting their father’s campaign. They, along with their sister Tiffany, Trump’s youngest daughter, will also be representing Florida at the convention in Milwaukee.
Barron’s mother, Melania Trump, has kept him out of the public eye for most of his life. But now he is old enough to get involved in politics. He is been named as a delegate-at-large for Florida, along with his half-siblings Eric, Donald Jr, and Tiffany.
The Republican National Convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from July 15-18. It is expected to be a formality, with Donald Trump being confirmed as the Republican candidate for the presidential election in November.
This is a big moment for Barron Trump as he is finishing high school. His father’s campaign official said that Barron is “very interested in our nation’s political process.”
