There was drama at a small village in Zanzibar when family, friends and neighbors descended on a house to help the man send out his estranged wife.

In the story that has grabbed headlines, the woman named was apparently divorced two years ago but she has completely refused to leave the man’s house.
Wife accused of isolating man from family
What’s worse, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to Ayo TV, is that she mistreats the man and has isolated him from family.

The two are said to have met at a local bar and started living together, after which they were blessed with one child before their relationship turned sour.
He, therefore divorced the woman hoping to find his peace and start afresh, but that was not to be as she refused to go.
Neighbors who thronged the scene following the commotion expressed their worries that the woman could harm the man.
Hubby sent distress call to relatives
Said Nusra, the sister to the man in question, disclosed that she received a distress call from the brother informing her that his life was in danger.
“I could tell from the background noise that there was a commotion around him, so I informed other relatives that we needed to rush over and save him,” she said.
Nusra says the brother added that even when he throws the estranged wife’s belongings out of the house, she returns them.
According to her, the woman has made it impossible for the man’s relatives to visit or keep in touch because she mistreats them.

Man changed tune when relatives came
It remains unclear why the woman is refusing to go, but the man’s family members insist that she is the source of their kin’s unhappiness.
The interesting twist in the story is that the husband openly tells people that he wants the wife out of the house, but he changes tune when the woman is around.
“Neighbors and family members are now tired of the recurrent chaos they are treated to every now and then,” Nusra said.
