Eggs Up Grill Plots More Growth in Texas - Eight Restaurants Planned for Greater Austin

Spartanburg, SC (RestaurantNews.com) Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly expanding breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, has signed two, multi-restaurant development agreements for the Austin, Texas market. Husband-and-wife team Michael and Rana Boselah have committed to open four Eggs Up Grills in North Austin, with their initial location opening in late 2024. Partners Megan Hood and Omar Thompson will also develop four restaurants in the South Austin area.

“With our recent entry into Dallas, and development underway in the Houston area, these commitments in Austin emphasize that Eggs Up Grill and the state of Texas have a great future together!” said CEO Ricky Richardson. “Our Brand and business model continue to appeal to both experienced and first-time franchise partners who believe the unique positioning of Eggs Up Grill in the better breakfast category offers an exceptional investment opportunity. We offer great tasting food and drinks, everyday affordability and a uniquely friendly service experience, which along with our strong community connection, quickly fosters vibrant guest loyalty. And when combined with the best Franchise Partners in the industry, it’s easy to see why Eggs Up Grill is one of the fastest growing and most successful breakfast, brunch and lunch concepts in the country.”

Michael and Rana Boselah

Michael Boselah arrived in the United States at the age of 18, launching a successful entrepreneurial career that includes a portfolio of convenience stores, car washes and nightclubs. The Boselahs have lived in Austin for the last 20 years and currently own a Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise, as well as Levant Café & Grill in Cedar Park, Texas. The couple believe Eggs Up Grill will fill an unmet need in the Austin area, and are targeting Round Rock, Texas for their first location.

Omar Thompson and Megan Hood

Hood, born and raised in Temple, Texas, has been an emergency room physician for the last 20 years. Thompson, a retired U.S. Air Force captain and support commander, has been a life coach and mentor for 20 years. The duo have been friends for many years and share similar business goals, including wanting to give back to the community and create a legacy for their children. Together, Thompson and Hood like the idea of Eggs Up Grill because it’s an organization that values team members and has a mission to make people smile. They are targeting New Braunfels, Texas for the first location.

Eggs Up Grill had another record-breaking year in 2023, opening 12 new locations and adding 14 new franchisees with commitments for an additional 45 new locations.
