Esta TerBlanche death: Disturbing new details emerge

New details have emerged about the mystery death surrounding South African actress Esta TerBlanche, known for her roles in Egoli and All My Children.

The 51-year-old screen star was found dead in her Los Angeles home last week.

Esta was known for her roles as Gillian Andrassy in the US soap opera and Bienkie Naudé Hartman in the local TV production.

ESTA TERBLANCHE: NEW DETAILS ON DEATH

According to MailOnline, Esta TerBlanche’s body was found in the bathroom of her Los Angeles home on Friday morning.

It is believed that the brunette screen star died on Wednesday. She had been unreachable since returning from a trip to South Africa earlier this month.

The publication claims that Esta had been found surrounded by her numerous pets. These included rare animals that had to be removed by animal control.

On her Instagram account, Esta posted pictures of various animals she had homed, including squirrels, prairie dogs, Persian cats, and even an exotic monkey.

TV With Thinus reported that Esta had enjoyed a quick trip to South Africa to visit her father and brother. She had been planning her TV comeback at the time of her death.

CAUSE OF DEATH, FUNERAL

A social media post by her publicist, Lisa Rodrigo, stated that Esta TerBlanche had died of “natural causes.” 

RadarOnline reports that authorities found no signs of foul play at the scene.

However, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy. A cause of death is currently pending toxicology results.

Details of Esta’s funeral have not yet been made public.

LEAVING SOUTH AFRICA 

Esta TerBlance – a former KTV presenter and Miss Teen South Africa – left her home in Rustenburg to pursue a career in entertainment in the US.

Esta joined a long list of SA-born actors living in the US,  including Charlize Theron, Arnold Vosloo, Sharlto Copley, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Troye Sivan, and many more.
