Local non-profit Hubbard House awarded $11,320 grant for lifesaving equipment from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
The new Loretto Road restaurant features a strategically designed kitchen layout, complete with updated steamer and toaster equipment that aims to be more efficient, improve the speed of service and elevate product quality.
“Delivering exceptionally high-quality products quickly to our guests is top priority and this state-of-the-art kitchen design allows us to achieve that goal,” said Mike Hancock, President of Firehouse Subs. “We’re excited to expand our footprint in our hometown of Jacksonville, where this incredible brand was founded 28 years ago just down the road here in Mandarin.”
Over 400 Firehouse Subs Franchisees, who operate over 1,250 locations across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, will have the opportunity to retrofit their existing kitchen and adopt this new design.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held at the new restaurant, where Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded the Hubbard House a grant worth $11,320 to purchase four automated external defibrillators (AEDs) – portable, battery-operated medical devices that provide lifesaving assistance during cardiac emergencies.
A portion of every purchase at any Firehouse Subs in the U.S. benefits the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides lifesaving equipment and resources to first responders and public safety organizations across the country.
To date, the Foundation has granted over $11.5 million to first responder organizations across Florida and $4.8 million in the greater Jacksonville area.
The Loretto Road Firehouse Subs restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
