I don’t like climbing the stairs but most people say,upstairs is better than downstairs.
1.Security
2.presence of fresh air.
3.when there is water in the compound it won’t reach you
4.you can live without a curtains
5.if your fellow occupants decides not to clean or clear the bushes Incase of unfloored compound,it won’t affect you much.
Lastly if you have front and back balcony,for your gen and gbeborun😂

I prefer downstairs as I hate to share staircase with people except when the staircase is for only the apartment I’m renting.
I just love privacy and keeping my area tidy which is sometimes difficult when sharing with people except the cleaning wouldn’t be left for only me to handle.

Upstairs: Flood,breaking of Burglary to steal,soakaway getting blocked or filled up and returning back to your toilet seat and more.
No one prays for anything bad;but always take cautions and be ten steps ahead.
Go for upstairs too,for your privacy;spoilt children can climb something to peep you when you are bathing without you knowing.
Na this one I remember for now.

upstairs is better cos of fresh air, plus no one will pour yeye water beside you but the issue is if the pressure of the water in that house is not strong you will suffer with carrying water from downstairs to upstairs. When flood happens you will not experience it when you are upstairs.
Make the house has a good and strong running water if you decide to pick upstairs.

For me I ll choose upstairs especially first floor reasons
* Septic tanks is mostly downstairs
* Crawlies is mostly downstairs
* Noise of generator/cars leaving in the morning from the compound you must wake up or if you have a new born
* Balcony to view your environment or what’s happening around.

Go for upstairs.
Downstairs has plenty disadvantages.
From my experience, reptiles like snakes, scorpions, lizards do enter downstairs more. Then centipedes too with their painful stings.
Also, upstairs is more airy and you can open your windows at nigh too.
Burglary is minimized in upstairs
Climbing the stairs is a form of exercise
Mosquitoes are lesser upstairs
You also have a view of the surrounding while relaxing in your balcony.
Lastly, when it’s raining and everywhere is messy downstairs, upstairs is usually fine.

When our sewage tank is full, it comes out in the ground floor tenant’s toilet and floor waste. It’s a no no no. Horrible
Then some times other tenants won’t pay for evacuation on time
Snake and other reptiles it’s easy to meve from soak away /sewage tank to the ground floor ,very easy. Most people that have seen snakes and repo in the toilet it’s ground floor

I’m always worried about the algae and the smell of rain
If you are like me kindly avoid ground floor
You see that thing that someone will put hand through the window and steal Gbam ground floor
Heat Ground floor gets hot the most
Security sometimes the entrance of some ground floor just faces front,you know the staircase gate gives a little security before the main entrance
Ground floor doesn’t have it
So it’s easier for arm robbers to access
I don’t like second floor if you are like me that doesn’t like climbing step
First floor is the best
