After starting the day in pole position for one of the two automatic places in Zone “I” of the ISSA DaCosta Cup, Horace Clarke High were knocked from the top of the table by St Mary High who prevailed 2-1 at Annotto Bay. St Mary High who finished second.
Tacky finished on top of the group with a 4-0 win over Wycliffe Martin High as Deonjay Jackson got all 4 goals.
It was a shootout between Garvey Maceo and Kemps Hill whose season came to an end in a 4-3 defeat. It was the clash of the number 12s with Everald Swaby of Garvey Maceo scoring a double that was matched by Shemar Daley of Kemps Hill.
A victory for Kemps Hill would have boosted their chances of advancing, but their hopes dissipated.
Rusea’s High secured top honours in Zone “B” after a goalless draw with second placed Frome Technical. Rusea’s ended on 19 points, one more than Frome Technical.
