Gift of the Givers rushes to aid starving residents in Port St John

JOHANNESBURG – Abject poverty has hit more than a hundred families at a village in Port St Johns.

Some residents say they’ve had to sacrifice their pets to make a meal.

Aid organisation, Gift of the Givers, has rushed to the rescue.

The organisation’s coordinator in the Eastern Cape, Corene Conradie spoke with eNCA about the dire situation.
